KLS QUICK SHIFTERS

Technical details:

The main components of the "MQS" Quick Shifter are the "Electronic Box", the "Sensor Box" and an "ON/OFF Switch".

• The Electronic box operates the signals of the sensorbox and interrupt/resets engine-ignition using electronic switches. It interrupts the ignition only when changing to an upper gear, fully electronic controlled and - very important for the engine - without any misfirings;

• The High Speed Sensorbox of the "MQS" Shifter contains the two LED's for easier adjustment!
  The sensorbox has two dirt- and waterresistant, electronic sensors, which are controlled by the movement of the gear lever: the first sensor for "STOP", the second for "RESTART" of the ignition;

• Two LED lights, fitted to the "MQS" sensor box, help to adjust the sensorbox suiting to the Motorcycle gearbox. Due to the position of the gear lever the lights will indicate, when the sensorbox is interrupting the ignition.
  In case of a gear lever movement made by error the electronic box restarts the ignition automaticly after a maximum interruption time of 80 ms.

• Two screws in the slide of the sensorbox provide easy and very accurate and separate adjustment of "Stop" and "Restart" of the engine.

• Easy mounting to the gear lever (no big modification necessary!).

• A waterresistant "ON/OFF" switch enables to make the KLS shifters active or inactive at any time in case of a problem.

Note: Simple "shifters" use the motorcycle kill switch or simply cut the power supply to the C.D.I. ignition at high engine rotation. That may cause misfirings and thus a high risk of a damage to the engine. Beside all other advantages the fully electronic "KLS Duplex Interruption Logic" especially provides the non appearance of any misfirings.
